HFC network elements
Building blocks for HFC networks

With the introduction of new broadband data transmission technologies (DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1), service providers are forced to continuously upgrade and segment HFC networks. To provide quality services, it is necessary to build the HFC network from reliable, durable and high-quality components.

Passive and active solutions recommended by our company have been developed using the latest technologies and are suitable for the construction of next generation HFC networks.

HFC optical active elements

With DOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS 3.1 standardized solutions, CATV providers can compete with FTTH operators. However, as the speed of data provision increases and the number of digital channels (and especially HD channels) increases, the current 860MHz band must be increased to 1 or 1.2 GHz, and networks must be continuously segmented.

The applied new generation HFC optical active solutions should meet the following criteria:

  • High port density

  • Low power consumption

  • Wide frequency range (1 and 1.2 GHz)

  • High modularity enables the easy network modifications in the future

  • Modern network management

Our company offers the Pacific Broadband Networks, InnoTrans and Technetix high-quality, reliable and affordable optical solutions its customers.

Pacific Broadband Networks:

Pacific Broadband Networks is an Australian company that produces a wide range of active and passive optical devices. Their products include 1310nm and 1550nm optical HFC transmission solutions, FTTH solutions, and complete network management. PBN devices have excellent technical content and are highly reliable based on years of practical experience.

InnoTrans/ATX:

The US InnoTrans company offers unique, multi-wavelength optical transmission solutions, offering a cost-effective alternative  solutions to replacing remote headends,  for optical node segmentation and for FTTH CATV overlay. Recently Innotrans has been a member of the Canadian ATX Group.

Technetix:

Founded in 1990, Technetix offers complete solutions for cable TV companies. The DBx cable TV amplifier and optical node products are designed to meet the latest technical requirements and trends.

Headend RF management and cabling

By segmenting the HFC networks, the number of the headend forward and upstream RF ports and the number of the associated connection cables are continuously growing. To do this, we recommend Belden's mini RG59 quadshield headend cable and the matching headend connectors and the modular RF management solutions of the ATX company. RF management solution includes RF combiners, splitters, and headend amplifiers.

Belden/PPC

Our company offers its customers the cable television coaxial connectors of PPC. PPC has over 65 years of experience in the field of connectors, a well-known representative of market-leading connector manufacturers.

PPC continuously develops its products to meet changing needs. It has numerous patents and unique solutions. Particular attention is paid to the selection and testing of good quality, durable materials before application. As a Belden brand, PPC also accesses Belden's powerful position within the signal transmission solutions space to offer a very unique end-to-end solution to its customers.

ATX

The Canadian ATX Networks company was founded in 1985. They are market leaders in professional headend RF management solutions. In addition, digital video and optical transmission solutions are also available. ATX has recently acquired the US Innotrans company who offers unique 1550nm transmission solutions.
